This week’s fabulous room is an ultra chic, modern, restrained bedroom by stylish Canadian designer, Nam Dang-Mitchell. Nam has an amazing sense of style and can execute so many types of looks. I really admire her design sensibility. This room is definitely more pared down than most of her other work—and much more minimalistic than what I typically gravitate to, but after a hectic couple of weeks, I am craving simplicity. The room is composed of clean lines and a warm, neutral palette. Rather than using any bold colors or patterns, Nam adds visual depth and interest through the use of texture—velvet, cotton, wool, cowhide, wood, and so on. Every piece in this room is timeless, so naturally, they come together beautifully. The room really comes alive through the lighting and accessories which goes to show how important styling is in design. The Serge Mouille wall lamp is a knock-out and the Dixon Table Lamp complements it perfectly. The zebra cowhide pillow and classic Hermes throw add a luxe touch, rounding out the space with the perfect graphic touch.
I am looking forward to a little R & R this weekend after the changes that have taken place around LDV headquarters recently. More details to come soon! Have a fabulous weekend!
