Modern Style Icon: Miranda Kerr

We are all familiar with the style icons that have stood the test of time. Chic women such as Jane Birkin, Lauren Hutton, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, and Audrey Hepburn. Through this new series, I’ll be taking a look at our modern style icons. The girls making waves for their street style as much as their red carpet looks who inspire us today and I predict will continue to inspire many generations to come. We’ll take a look at working models, actresses, socialites, and philanthropists and examine their most notable ensembles and what sets them apart from the crowd.
First up, Miranda Kerr. Miranda is known for many things in various circle: Victoria’s Secret model, wife to Orlando Bloom, hip mom to an adorable baby boy, and most notably, at least in my world, Miranda is making a name for herself as a modern style icon. While she usually looks fabulous on the red carpet, I gravitate most towards her off-duty looks. Her street style is always impeccable. Being that she is a successful model, she always looks amazing, whether she’s pulling of a chic, tailored look or an edgy, relaxed outfit. You’ll notice that even when Miranda is taking fashion risks, she always exercises some restraint, opting for clean, classic silhouettes and minimal patterns. A girl who knows what she loves and sticks with her formula of style must-haves, she keeps the jewelry to a minimum and prefers to accessorize with a big pair of sunglasses, a great black leather bag, and her signature red lip. Gorgeous and effortless, Miranda Kerr is most definitely a “Modern Style Icon”.
